Vulnerability: showing up in weakness when you can’t control the outcome

Vulnerability: showing up in weakness when you can’t control the outcome

I’m on holiday on the Isle of Mull (my favourite island of them all).

So, instead of a Note this week, I’m going to suggest you watch the “Call to Courage” by Brene Brown, on Netflix.

I watched it last week – and I tried to watch it whilst doing other things. Ironing, sketchnoting, emails, Slack.

I couldn’t do it.

It needs your full attention.

Because this vulnerability stuff is not for the faint of heart. It’s hard, it shows up all your weaknesses, it doesn’t always give you the ending you hoped for.

Vulnerability’s not about winning.

It’s not about losing.

It’s having the courage

to show up

when you

can’t

control the outcome.

Enjoy the show.

I send these tips and sketchnotes out every Saturday! Sign up to get them here.
