Sometimes the simplest, almost “old school” marketing strategies can make a big difference.

At the weekend I was going through old notes and journals and I found this note.

I’d been doing a creativity workbook and the question was, what’s your ideal environment?

I couldn’t find a date, but I estimate it was at least 10 years ago.

The things I mentioned were:

- a cottage and renovated barn by the sea
(check! My house is like a cottage and barn combined, with big A frame walls, and it looks out to a sea loch)

- lots of light pouring in
(check!!)

- huge picture window
(check!)

- a peat or wood fire
(wood fire, check!)

- big kitchen with skylight and butchers block in middle
(check check check)

- white duvet over a huge comfy bed
(check)

- lots of books
(ohhhh yea. Just not shown as I’m still unpacking)

It really is incredible the power of the documented goal. I hadn’t even written this as a specific plan - at that time it was a dream, a wish for the environment which would help me be my best self.

Write something down this week! Even if you never look at it again (I almost missed it) you’ll be far more likely to achieve it….
